Menghidupkan Imajinasi Lewat Morning Activity Membaca Cerita

SD Edu Global School Bandung terus berkomitmen menumbuhkan budaya literasi sejak dini. Salah satu program yang rutin dilaksanakan adalah Morning Activity Literasi Membaca Buku Cerita, yang diadakan setiap hari Selasa dan Kamis pagi bacaan cerita tersebut adalah bilingual Bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa inggris.

Kegiatan ini berlangsung selama 20–30 menit sebelum pelajaran dimulai. Seluruh siswa duduk bersama di kelas atau area baca sekolah, membawa buku cerita pilihan mereka. Guru-guru turut mendampingi, memberi bimbingan, dan sesekali mengajak siswa untuk berbagi cerita singkat tentang buku yang mereka baca.

Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah:

·         Menumbuhkan minat baca sejak usia dini.

·         Mendorong daya imajinasi dan kreativitas siswa melalui cerita yang mereka nikmati.

·         Melatih kemampuan bercerita dan menyampaikan pendapat dengan percaya diri.

·         Menciptakan suasana belajar yang positif di awal hari sehingga siswa lebih siap mengikuti pelajaran.

Antusiasme siswa terlihat dari semangat mereka membawa buku cerita favorit dan berbagi pengalaman membaca kepada teman-teman. Bahkan, beberapa siswa mulai tertarik menulis cerita sederhana sendiri.

Kepala sekolah SD Edu Global School Bandung menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan literasi ini diharapkan menjadi kebiasaan baik yang melekat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari siswa. “Membaca bukan hanya meningkatkan kemampuan akademik, tetapi juga memperkaya empati, imajinasi, dan cara pandang anak terhadap dunia,” ujarnya.

Dengan kegiatan rutin seperti ini, SD Edu Global School Bandung terus berupaya menciptakan generasi yang cinta membaca, cerdas, dan berkarya.


Manfaat Membaca Buku

1.    Mengembangkan Kemampuan Bahasa
Anak yang terbiasa membaca akan memiliki kosa kata yang lebih kaya, pengucapan yang lebih baik, dan kemampuan menyusun kalimat yang lebih terstruktur.

2.   Meningkatkan Konsentrasi & Daya Ingat
Membaca melatih anak untuk fokus dan mengikuti alur cerita, sehingga daya ingat dan kemampuan konsentrasi mereka semakin baik.

3.   Menumbuhkan Imajinasi & Kreativitas
Buku cerita membawa anak ke dunia yang berbeda, merangsang mereka untuk berimajinasi dan menciptakan ide-ide baru.

4.   Mengajarkan Nilai-Nilai Kehidupan
Banyak buku anak memuat pesan moral, seperti pentingnya kejujuran, kerja sama, keberanian, dan empati.

5.   Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis
Anak belajar menganalisis karakter, memahami sebab-akibat, dan memecahkan masalah melalui cerita yang mereka baca.

6.   Membangun Kebiasaan Positif
Membaca secara rutin membantu anak membentuk kebiasaan belajar yang baik dan rasa cinta terhadap ilmu.

7.   Mempersiapkan Keberhasilan Akademik
Keterampilan membaca yang baik menjadi fondasi penting untuk semua pelajaran di sekolah.
