Layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) di Sekolah Dasar memiliki peran penting dalam membantu perkembangan pribadi, sosial, belajar, dan emosional peserta didik. Namun, dalam pelaksanaannya, guru BK sering menghadapi tantangan seperti siswa yang malu, pasif, sulit fokus, atau belum berani mengungkapkan perasaan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi yang tepat untuk menciptakan suasana yang aman dan menyenangkan. Salah satu strategi yang efektif adalah ice breaking.

Ice breaking adalah kegiatan singkat yang bertujuan untuk mencairkan suasana, menghilangkan ketegangan, serta membangun kenyamanan dan kedekatan antara guru dan peserta didik. Dalam layanan BK SD, ice breaking biasanya dilakukan dengan cara yang sederhana, menyenangkan, dan sesuai dengan karakteristik perkembangan anak, seperti permainan ringan, gerak dan lagu, atau aktivitas interaktif.



Kegiatan  permainan ice  breaking  dalam bimbingan  konseling  dapat  digambarkan,  akan memberikan  dampak  positif  terhadap  individu yang   mengalami   proses   pertumbuhan   dalam lingkungannya.   Bermain   dalam   kegiatan   ini merupakan   alternatif   metode   mengembangkan komunikasi   dan   interaksi   kepada   orang   lain, karena  akan  memberikan  jalan  kepada  individu untuk  dapat  lebih  leluasa  bergaul.  Teknik  diatas akan menghasilkan kegiatan yang menyenangkan serta   dapat   mendukung   kognisi   yang   sehat, afeksi   dan   pengembangan   interpersonal   yang baik  Violet,1998  (Suwarjo.2012).    Siswa  akan cepat  melakukan  proses  adaptasi  jika  kegiatan permainan ini dilakukan. Selain itu proses belajar dan hasil belajarnya akan meningkat juga.

Tujuan Ice Breaking dalam BK SD

Penerapan ice breaking dalam layanan BK SD bertujuan untuk:

  1. Menciptakan suasana aman dan menyenangkan bagi peserta didik.
  2. Mengurangi rasa canggung, takut, atau malu saat mengikuti layanan BK.
  3. Meningkatkan perhatian dan konsentrasi siswa.
  4. Membantu siswa lebih terbuka dalam mengekspresikan perasaan dan pendapat.
  5. Membangun hubungan positif antara guru BK dan peserta didik.

Manfaat Ice Breaking bagi Peserta Didik SD

Ice breaking memberikan berbagai manfaat dalam layanan BK SD, antara lain membantu siswa lebih rileks, meningkatkan kepercayaan diri, serta menumbuhkan sikap positif terhadap kegiatan bimbingan dan konseling. Selain itu, ice breaking juga dapat meningkatkan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam kegiatan bimbingan klasikal maupun kelompok.

Ice breaking merupakan bagian penting dalam layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling di Sekolah Dasar. Dengan penerapan ice breaking yang tepat, guru BK dapat menciptakan suasana layanan yang menyenangkan, aman, dan mendukung perkembangan peserta didik secara optimal. Oleh karena itu, ice breaking sebaiknya direncanakan dan digunakan secara konsisten dalam setiap layanan BK SD.

"Menyekolahkan anak di EGS itu keputusan kami yg paling tepat dan sesuai dgn visi parenting kami. Kurikulum EGS tidak hanya fokus pada akademik tapi juga talent dan pemahaman agama anak. Metode belajar project based learning membuat anak mampu untuk berpikir kritis, kreatif dan mengasah kemampuan kolaborasi. Assembly di akhir tahun juga membuat anak"dapat berkolaborasi dengan semua grade di sekolah. Hal ini membuat sekolah menjadi lingkungan yg hangat dan nyaman buat anak mengeksplorasi diri. Program keputrian juga selalu diisi dengan aktivitas seru cooking class, crafting dan pengetahuan anak soal merawat diri dan persiapan menghadapi pubertas. Komunikasi orang tua dan sekolah juga terjalin dengan baik, komite sekolah (parents club) berperan positif untuk kemajuan siswa. Ga ada biaya ini itu selama semester karena sudah tercover dengan uang tahunan. Mulai dari alat bahan project, keputrian dan kegiatan lain. Menurut kami nyekolahin anak di EGS ITU NO DRAMA, anak happy parents happy. "
